Netflix Unveils First Look at Money Heist Spinoff Series ‘Berlin’

The streaming platform recently unveiled a first look at the spinoff series Berlin, which revolves around the beloved character Andrés de Fonollosa, also known as Berlin (played by Pedro Alonso). This announcement was made during a fan event in São Paulo, Brazil on Saturday.
Berlin, the second-in-command of the Royal Mint of Spain heist and mastermind behind the Bank of Spain heist, which he orchestrated in collaboration with The Professor and Palermo, takes center stage in this spinoff. The teaser introduces viewers to Berlin’s latest endeavor, a heist targeting one of the top auction houses in Paris.

Money Heist, created by Alex Pina, follows the narrative of the heists from the perspective of one of the robbers named Tokyo, played by Ursula Corbero. The series also features a talented ensemble cast including Álvaro Morte, Itziar Ituño, Miguel Herrán, Jaime Lorente, Esther Acebo, Enrique Arce, Rodrigo de la Serna, Darko Peric, Najwa Nimri, Hovik Keuchkerian, Luka Peros, Belén Cuesta, Fernando Cayo, Fernando Soto, Jose Manuel Poga, and Mario de la Rosa.
Pina, who has an overall deal with Netflix, serves as the executive producer of the series. Money Heist was originally commissioned by Spain’s Antena 3 and is co-executive produced by Sonia Martínez, Jesús Colmenar, Esther Martínez Lobato, and Nacho Manubens.
